China Eastern Airlines was founded in April 1995 and established its
headquarters in Shanghai. Among the three major Chinese airlines, China Eastern
Airlines operates 10 domestic branches and 38 offices in the world. It also has
20 wholly owned subsidiaries. Since 1997, China Eastern was listed
simultaneously in New York, Hong Kong and Shanghai. In 2011, China Eastern
joins SkyTeam.

China Eastern Airlines has a fleet of 380 aircraft of
various sizes and a lower average age 7 years. In 2011, China Eastern deserved travellers
from around the world and has provided 620,000 flights. It ranks among the top
10 companies in the world in terms of passenger volume (with a total of 70
million in 2011). With Shanghai as the main hub, China Eastern serves 173
countries in the world with a total of 928 cities. It therefore operates a
network of global air transport. Covering China, China Eastern maintains a
network in Asia, Europe, America and Oceania due to its close collaboration with member airlines of
SkyTeam (see video)

satisfaction surveys six times in China, and is the leader of the Chinese Civil
Aviation Industry in terms of safety and punctuality of flights. In 2012, China
Eastern officially involved in the SkyTeam Alliance, it has its advantages in terms of
network and also in terms of quality of service.
